Despite widely published reports that the Toronto Blue Jays had inked veteran catcher Ramon Castro to a 1 year 1 million dollar deal it turns out that no such agreement has been reached. Mike Wilner of the Fan590 reports that while the Jays were in serious negotiations with Castro no deal was ever finalized.

I hope they can trade Overbay and move Ruiz to first. That will leave a bunch of a cash to get a solid lead off man that can steal a base at will and add some hiting punch in the outfield. I don’t think Snider will be ready in 2010 and we need a guy in a clutch who can get to third with out being moved over by a hit with one or none out
